Weymouth is a Georgian seaside resort well known for its classic architecture, cosmopolitan marina, impressive 17th century harbour, water gardens,
sea life park and internationally renowned golden beaches. The rugged coastline offers spectacular natural features such as
Chesil Beach,
Durdle Door and
Lulworth Cove.
Weymouth has some of the sunniest weather in Britain. Studies since 1971 have showed that Weymouth has 32% more hours of sunshine than the average for the United Kingdom.
Over the last few years Weymouth has become a very sought after area and it offers all the amenities you would expect to find in a large town.
It will also be host to the Olympic Sailing races in 2012.
The main town centre is now pedestrianised and offers a vast range of high street and independent retail outlets. Not only does Weymouth
have many local pub's, all of which are full of character, but you will also find many smaller restaurants, bistros and coffee shops.
All of which add up to a safe and European feeling.
